Westwood Plateau

The initial branding of Westwood Plateau lacked a contemporary and enduring essence, with concerns that it did not effectively convey the customer service that goes above and beyond. Seeking a logo that could propel the brand into the future while remaining true to the company's core values and essence, they approached us for a comprehensive redesign.

Throughout our kick-off sessions, the Westwood team emphasized the vital balance between modernizing the brand and maintaining a connection to their established identity. Our objective was to evolve the Westwood Plateau Golf logo, creating an effective, distinctive, and enduring visual identity that aligns with the company's goals for authenticity and memorability.

Considering the original logo's representation of Westwood's eagle mountain, our approach aimed to pay homage to this historical aspect while bringing it into the modern age. We delved into a array of low-fidelity sketches, swiftly identifying and refining the most compelling ideas.

The chosen direction now pays tribute to the wildlife frequenting the course, featuring the head of a bear emerging from the mountainous form, symbolizing Westwood's unparalleled proximity to nature. The carefully selected color palette mirrors the golden hues of the setting sun, epitomizing the gold standard consistently provided by Westwood Plateau Team. This is complemented by a humanistic serif font that represents their customer focus while showcasing the 25 years of experience.

The redesign gathered success and widespread acceptance among both new and existing members. They appreciated that it now more accurately embodies the golf course and admired the subtle tribute to the local bears that occasionally grace the greens.
